St Wilfrid’s C of E Academy students and staff are celebrating after once again recording their ‘Best Ever’ results at A-Level and B-TEC.
The results continue to highlight the efforts of both staff and students within the Academy, with the overall pass rate also increasing to 100%. It is the high-end results of A*-B that have steadily risen over the years, now sitting at 58.1%, an increase of 2.7% from the previous year. Achievements were high across a range of subjects and students will continue on to a variety of destinations.
Standout student performances include: Faye McNulty, who achieved a remarkable A*, A*, A and will be going on to study Law at Newcastle University; Morgan Angland, who received A*, A, A, taking her to Leeds Beckett University to study Sports and Exercise Science; and Jacob Smith, who was also delighted with his A*, A, A grades, which gets him a place at Liverpool studying Accounting and Finance.
Sixth Form students from the Academy have also proved very successful in their apprenticeship applications, with head girl Aimee Holden securing a place with Stateside Food and Faiz Valli taking on a role at BT in their apprenticeship scheme.
