The Month of Hope will include different activities and challenges all centred around HOPE.
While there are many different ways we celebrate hope, we will be focusing on the following few:
- Hampers of Hope - we realise that there are members of our St Wilfrid's community who are currently struggling or are in need and we would love to do something for these families. Year groups will be tasked with collecting specific items, which will go in-part towards the preparation of food hampers for these families.
- Foodbank Collection - in addition, the remainder of the collected items will be heading to our local Foodbank in Blackburn.
- Inspiring Hope - throughout the month, staff will once again be giving out 'You've Been Spotted' cards when they see students inspiring hope in others. These can be exchanged with Form Tutors for LIVE! merits, with the form that collects the most receiving a prize. Students will in turn be asked to nominate staff (who have inspired hope in them) for prizes.
We will be inspiring hope in each other by recognising and rewarding the positive things we are doing around the Academy, and in all of this, we will be celebrating Jesus, whose birth has brought us the greatest hope of all!
