The Events Management students (from years 9-11) collaborated and pre-planned a Christmas Fair for the rest of the Academy.
The Event took place in the sports hall and with specialist lighting, music, decorated stalls and House games, a 'Winter Wonderland' was created for our community of staff and students to enjoy. The Year 9 team made Jewellery, after extensive research a stunning range of bespoke pieces were designed, priced, and packaged. The Year 10 students got busy in the Food rooms making sweet treats and goody bags full of cheer. The Year 11 students focussed on the paperwork - completing risk assessments, costings and marketing the event. Additionally, Alex in Year 9 designed a range of Christmas cards and raised over £75 for Compassion from her beautiful artwork.
Jack (Y10), a student who visited the event said: "Clearly huge efforts from the Events students - Well done - it was a great event to attend with lots of choice and a variety of gifts."
Year 10 Events Management students Mehak, Leah and Sapphire were delighted with how it went, stating "All the hard work has paid off, we love our Events lessons!"
"The Christmas fair was fun, lots to look at and buy, with some great activities to take part in" said Maggie (Y10).
Miss Bentley, Miss Leonard, Mrs Roscoe and Mrs Tipton are very proud of all of the Events Management students for raising money for our Academy partnered charity Compassion.
