It was so great to be back at Blackburn Cathedral and with more than just a handful of students this time. The procession was as marvellous as ever, with students lining the streets as they made their way from the Academy over to the Cathedral.
For our new Year 7s it was their first experience of a St Wilfrid's service in the exquisite sanctuary, and for our Year 11s, their final St Wilfrid's Day service was already upon them.
Back at the Academy, the remaining year groups gathered together in the hall, for a simultaneous service hosted by our friends from St Luke's.
Thanks to everyone who helped make this celebration so memorable - our staff stewarding the procession, the musicians and choir for sounding so beautiful, the Cathedral staff for hosing us so well, photographer Olivia (Y12) for the great photos and to those who enabled the service to take place here at the Academy.
