The U16 Girls Basketball Team have been crowned BDSSA Lancashire Champions, following up on the U14 success to complete an incredible double for the Academy. The girls won a tight game 37 - 33 against a tough Garstang team in the final. They were fabulous from start to finish and after a cagey first quarter they took control in the second period and never looked back. A strong defensive performance soaked up the pressure and then some strong attacking phases allowed the girls to come out on top. The girls match the U14 girls as Lancashire Champions making it two Champions from the 2 Lancashire Girls competitions this season! Chloe Reeve was voted MVP for the game after being the highest point scorer on the night, but a number of our girls were in the running for this award.
