Winter Wonderland 2019

In December, a festive classic, the ‘Winter Wonderland’, returned after a three-year absence!

A variety of stalls sold a wide range of hand-crafted products, with a portion of the proceeds going to our continued work with Compassion. There was a fabulous selection which included food, confectionary, games, a tombola, competitions and an opportunity to meet one of Santa’s reindeer.

Although, the weather outside was ‘frightful’, our Events and Operations team of students persevered to deliver what was a truly joyous occasion for students and teachers both past and present. The event was also supported by members of the community, including primary school pupils and parents.

Mrs Tipton, supervisor of the Events and Operations team of students, wished to thank all who supported the event and said “the students have worked together in teams and have really flourished with the planning, preparation and execution of the event”.

Year 8 student Libby, who worked on the Ripon House stall, said “the event was a really valuable experience”.

One visitor commented on how proud they were of the students and said that the event was “very well organised”.

With Mrs Tipton eluding to “some great suggestions for next year”, we can only look forward with great anticipation for next year’s Event and Operations students to build on this success.

Thanks again to Eva (Y11) and Sophie (Y11) for capturing some great photos from the night!
